'It was a pleasure for me personally to be involved in this project and something that our organisation is keen to offer.  To give something back to our local community and our fantastic NHS at such a time through the COVID pandemic and to see what we have provided gives us all a great sense of pride.

The seating and garden areas give much more than just somewhere to sit, it is now a pleasant area to communicate and gather thoughts for visitors and staff to the hospital.’

Will Ritchie Will's marathon month raised £14,000

Will Ritchie, six, was walking no more than 100 meters at the start of lockdown was set a challenge by his Mum and Dad in June to complete a marathon in 30 days.

‘We chose to donate the money raised from Will’s Marathon Walk to Wirral hospitals COVID-19 fund after the continued support we have received from the Trust over the past 6 years. We wouldn’t have been able to get through it without the dedicated staff who have been there for us as a family, this was just a small way we could give something back to those who have helped us.’
